whoa that?s one crazy story! i bet it probably made you feel insecure about long distant relationships now and take more caution whenever you feel like jumping into one. but what i found out what?s koo about this story is that you took the initiative to go see him first and that you actually talked it out instead of running away from it after finding out he wasn?t who he said he was. mad props to you fd! you got some balls for doing what you did. i?m pretty sure guys would appreciate that a lot.

@JDMcrazyFM FD I was in the Marines and deployed over seas twice in our first 3 years of marriage. I did not even think about it when you were talking so you did not come across that way to others; sorry jjbmgm. As you said NOTHING beats sitting down face to face and talking. I think FD was right because the Military life chews up relationships like crazy! Why? Your away a lot and cannot talk about what you were doing and leave with very little notice. Kind of what FD was saying!

@JDMcrazyFM ?It can not be over the phone, online all the time that?s not a real relationship to me I feel like if you don?t at least see them ONCE or TWICE A YEAR or so give or take whatever it?s not a real relationship? Pretty sure from the exact words you said you can?t come at me with the reply? Now your just saying they need to meet ONCE? and that?s it for the minimum 4 years of the military to have a ?solidify? a relationship?

@jjbmgm Obviously I?m not talking about cases as this. I was referring to people who have NEVER seen each other face to face. My point was that people need to meet someone in person to solidify a relationship. Online ? non physical relationships will never cut it.

So just to be clear if you don?t see each other once or twice a year ?it?s not a relationship? so Military couples don?t have an official relationship? It?s amazing how easily you can forget the people who protect our beautiful country?s and who help the rest of the world all over such as N.A.T.O. or soldiers that are sent for relief efforts or the ones fighting in Afghanistan

i appreciate your thoughts on this matter! communication is key in every relationship, espec. n a long distance one. 1 cannot read another?s mind, when something happens and your partner has know way of knowing, to help them possibly get thru a diffucult time. Its not about being insecure when you ask ?s when clearly things in a rela has changed. Its enquiring where your realtionship is going and if its worth fighting for.
